Short description of the project
25 % increase of capacity of the agricultural products formulation plant in Georgia was needed. The processing steps are characterised by variability of cycle times, failure of equipment and shared resources, generation and usage of recycle material and synchronisation of equipment to ensure smooth operation. Several alternatives to increase capacity were created based on "gut feel" and their availability were tested with simulator. Some scenarios were determined based on previous simulation runs.

Soft Benefits
Later the created model can be used to optimise operating parameters.
Public quantitative benefits
Identification of operating parameter changes resulted in capacity increase of 8 % without any capital investment. In sold out position this stands for a potential addition of $300 000 in profits.
