Short description of the project	Increasing process automation makes the operators less involved in the actual operation of the plant. On the other hand operators are expected to take care of malfunctions quickly, safely and correctly. The client thought over a training solution for new operators in the control room to shorten the training period and increase plant safety through safe operation routines. The process model that already existed was updated, equipped with new instructor training features and other upgrades and connected to DCS control system, which is identical to actual process control system. With simulator the operators are able to get familiar with the control system and train to handle normal and abnormal situations in operation.
