Short description of the project The objective of the project was to modify the design of the acetyl acetone reactor. The first step was the building of simulation model to better understand the phenomena in the existing reactor in order to have the thermodynamic properties and the kinetic model. The second part was the dynamic modelling of the new reactor. As a result an adiabatic zone was added after the heated sections of the reactor. Afterwards the model has been used by the operators for simulation and training.
